How to place your Durham Botanicals order

We remember when specialty nurseries mailed catalogs. We miss those days and suspect many of you feel the same. We like to know we’re receiving personal attention when we invest our hard-earned dollars. We want to receive what we expect, when we expect it, and above all know that there is a live person on the other end working hard to insure all goes well.

After much deliberation we came to the conclusion that no shopping cart on earth could replace human interaction, so we decided against incorporating one into the catalog.


Ordering is Simple

After you’ve made your selection(s) from the catalog simply send us an email and tell us what you’d like (please use our full description), where you’d like us to send it, when you’d like your order to arrive, and any other pertinent detail you need us to consider – such as if it’s a gift.
After receiving your order we’ll confirm availability, calculate your total cost and email you a PayPal invoice. We heard that sigh. Don’t worry you don’t need to have PayPal account to pay this invoice. You can use almost any major credit or debit card by following the online instructions. If you’re still leery of the online payment process you can fax your credit card information to (954)340-8696 please do not fax your information until after you’ve received our invoice.
International customers and those placing large orders can also make payment by wire transfer. Please contact us for details.


Where do we ship?

Just about everywhere. Foreign customers should contact us for costs and requirements. We will not ship without necessary documentation (such as Phytosanitary Certificates) so please do not ask.


How long do I have to pay?

We will hold your plants for 3 days after sending your invoice. We cannot reserve your plants longer than this unless prior arrangements have been agreed to.


Shipping

Rare, hard to find plants are just that. They can be costly and often times slow growing. After years of work have been invested in nurturing them to the point that they’re ready for sale it doesn’t make sense to cut corners in packing and shipping. They deserve the best possible treatment and that’s what they’ll get! Over 20 years of experience has helped us develop techniques insuring your plants arrive undamaged, virtually stress free, and good to grow.

We will determine the best carrier and service to use for delivery of your order unless you specify a particular service.


Live Plants

Live plants are generally shipped on Mondays and Tuesdays unless other arrangements are made in advance to avoid their being tied up over the weekend.


Books, Supplies & Miscellaneous

Usually ship within a couple of days of receipt of payment.


Returns & Refunds

Durham Botanicals cannot take responsibility for damages caused by means outside of our control such as carrier mishandling.

Durham Botanicals takes pride in selling and shipping the healthiest plants, using unique shipping procedures that ensure each plant arrives to you just as healthy as it was when it left us. For that reason, it is rare that any of our customers complain or request a refund. However, if you are unhappy and contact us within 5 days of receiving your order, Durham Botanicals will, at our discretion, either replace your order or refund your money. After contacting us to receive return approval, simply ship the plans back and we’ll send you new ones. If we cannot replace your order we will refund your money.

Durham Botanicals cannot accept returns for errors made by you when ordering, such as ordering the wrong items or providing an incorrect shipping address.

Durham Botanicals cannot replace or refund your order after 5 days of receiving it, and is not responsible for damage or loss after arrival due to circumstances beyond our control, including, but not limited to, improper plant care.
